Conversions

Conversion work can be particularly challenging both in terms of getting planning permission and achieving a design that gets the best out of a building.A ‘change of use’ planning application may be required, we can advise you on the recent changes to the rules. Any alterations and extensions have to be carefully considered to conform with planning policies on sympathetic design. Sometimes however a modern approach to design is better than trying to replicate traditional features.

Kevin Bradbury Architects have carried out many conversion projects, including mill buildings to flats, large houses to pub/restaurants and barns into homes. We have gained planning approval where others have failed with designs which realise a building’s full potential.
